Μάθημα : WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

To those students who are entitled and planning to take the September re-seat exam on "William Shakespeare" in the specific section, do make sure that you study the following Shakespearean plays:

• The Comedy of Errors
• Hamlet
• The Tempest

Needless to say, you should also study the introduction to the Renaissance (I always devote nearly 2 weekly sessions on this vital framework and a resume powerpoint is available on the e-class).

As regards the structure of the exam, you will be provided with 3 topics (each of which will focus either on a specific play out of the three allocated ones or will be set on a comparative level) and you will need to choose any 2 of them.

There is no word limit, but your responses should be pithy and precise. Do make sure that a) you do not summarize the plot of the play/s (only use an element or a couple of them from it to substantiate an argument of yours, if necessary) and b) you focus on precisely what is requested (neither less nor more).

Last but not least, those of you that are entitled and planning to taking the exam in my section, you are requested to send an e-mail to vmarkidou@enl.uoa.gr stating your will to participate in the exam no later than Sunday, September 8, 2024.
