Dr. Michail is an engineer specializing in environmental management of ports and freight transport systems, with 20 years of professional experience. As IAPH Technical Director since 2018, he coordinates the work of Technical Committees on Climate and Energy, Risk and Resilience, and Data Collaboration, while supervising all World Ports Sustainability Program initiatives. Previously, he served as Senior Policy Advisor at the European Sea Ports Organisation and managed the EcoPorts network.
Vinicius Patel: Port Administration Director, Porto do Açu
Mr. Patel brings 20 years of experience across the port, oil and gas, and logistics sectors. As Port Administration Director at Porto do Açu since 2019, he oversees maritime management, infrastructure, QSMS, and institutional relations. He also serves as IAPH Vice President for Central and South America and Board Chairman of the Environment Ship Index Initiative.
Sophie Delannoy: Program Manager Sustainable Transport Fuels North Sea Port
Sophie Delannoy is a logistics expert specializing in sustainable transport and energy transition. She began her career at Lineas in 2010, leading international transport projects that improved efficiency and reduced environmental impact. In 2020, she joined the Flanders Institute for Logistics (VIL), developing strategies on fuel shift, electrification, and value-chain collaboration. Since 2022, Sophie has led the Sustainable Transport Fuels Program at North Sea Port, contributing to policy discussions in Flanders and the Netherlands and advancing projects on maritime fuel readiness, CO₂ reduction, and clean energy hubs.
Cynthia Irene: Managing Director, Kamarajar Port Limited Smt.
Irene Cynthia, a 2008 batch IAS officer from the MP cadre, became Managing Director of Kamarajar Port Limited in August 2023. She previously served as Director (Budget) in the MP Finance Department and as Collector of Burhanpur and Panna. She has held key roles in School Education and Urban Development and has received multiple awards for excellence in election management, MSME initiatives, and e-governance. She holds an MBA in Finance from Madras University and a MicroMasters in Microeconomics from MIT.
Stefanus Gariseb: Executive: Risk Management Namport
Stefanus Gariseb is a seasoned Professional in Risk Management with over 15 years of expertise in SHREQ (Safety, Health, Risk, Environment and Quality) disciplines across mining and maritime sectors. He holds advanced qualifications, including a Master of Management, a PDip in Project Management and Sustainable Port Operations. He leads the Risk Management Function at Namport, where he also spearheads the organization’s sustainability drive through initiatives aimed at transitioning the port into a green port.
