Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

A particularly interesting aspect of the society of ancient Greek cities is the numerous private associations (professional, religious, etc) as well as the associations based on the gymnasium (gerousia, neoi). The aim of this seminar is to study both the internal organization and activities of these collectives and their public presence and interaction with the civic institutions.
