DIGIT-EU European Digital Governance and Regulation

(DI699) -  Δημήτρης Βαρουτάς Dimitris Varoutas

Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

The course European Digital Governance and Regulation was developed as a single teaching module consisting of thirteen lectures. The curriculum provides a structured overview of the European Union’s digital policymaking framework, institutional governance architecture, and the main legislative instruments shaping the Digital Single Market. The course design integrates institutional analysis, regulatory content, and strategic policy objectives.

Emphasis is placed on understanding how EU institutions design, adopt, implement, and enforce digital regulation, as well as how digital policy supports competitiveness, market integration, and digital sovereignty. The curriculum development ensured coherence between governance mechanisms, regulatory instruments, and long-term policy priorities, while maintaining alignment with the educational objectives of the DIGIT-EU Jean Monnet Chair.
