The course examines the process of European integration from an economic and institutional perspective, with emphasis on the stages of integration, the functioning of European Union institutions, and key EU policies. It analyzes the effects of integration on economic growth, development, and regional inequalities, as well as the position of the European economy in the international environment. The course combines theoretical models, empirical evidence, and policy analysis, focusing on contemporary challenges such as globalization, the digital transition, and the green transition.
