This course offers a survey of basic applied mathematical analysis techniques useful for advanced economic theory.  Emphasis is on methodology and the underlying mathematical structures. Topics include elements of topology, optimization with equality constraints, nonlinear programming and Kuhn-Tucker conditions, sufficiency theorems in nonlinear programming, differential equations and optimal control methods.
