REFLECTIVE TEACHING (E-Workshop)

Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

"A reflective approach to teaching involves changes in the way we usually perceive teaching and our role in the process of teaching. Reflective teaching suggests that experience alone is insufficient for professional growth, but that experience coupled with reflection can be a powerful impetus for teacher development." (Richards, 1990)

This E-Workshop aims to introduce student teachers to Reflective Teaching (RT), in order to develop critical awareness in applying RT practices effectively in the classroom, while providing valuable support for professional development. Additionally, specific objectives of this E-Workshop involve sharing good teaching practices, inspiring creativity and collaboration amongst the participants, instilling self-improvement, and empowering student teachers in becoming reflective professionals in the field of E.L.T. During the 4-week span of the E-Workshop the methodology will mostly involve self-assessment techniques, critical reflection and Curriculum Action Research. In terms of assessment, some of the activity types will include journal keeping, using New Technologies, video/audio recordings, peer observation,  Quizzes, Questionnaires, etc. There will also be a final project at the end of Week 4 (details will follow).
