Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

The course deals with an unexplored area of foreign language teaching and testing, that of cross-linguistic mediation,  the process of relaying or transferring of information from one language to another in order to complete a task.

This e-workshop informs students about a European project, with the name METLA (Mediation in Teaching, Learning and Assessment 2020-2022) which has been funded by the ECML (European Centre for Modern Languages) of the Council of Europe.  Learn more about mediation by following the course syllabus below and create your own mediation tasks! 

The course is designed by taking into consideration the principles of distance education but adapted to the needs of pre-service language teachers. It is interactive in a sense that interactivity is both synchronous and asynchronous and it takes place though the e-class platform and the forum spaces it provides, through emails and discussion groups.
