This course, Teaching English to Young Learners, aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices involved in teaching English to children aged 5-14. It focuses on developing the knowledge and skills necessary to create effective, engaging, and age-appropriate English lessons. The course covers a wide range of topics, including how children think, learn, and develop, and how these factors influence language acquisition.
Students will gain an in-depth understanding of theories of first and second language acquisition and explore how to design stimulating and suitable learning environments. The course emphasizes evaluating and creating materials tailored to different age groups and encourages the application of modern approaches to language teaching.
