Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

“Theory of Culture” is designed so that it engage students in both established and current debates about culture a) in a conceptual, theoretical manner, looking, that is, at definitions of culture through history and investigating culture’s relation with concepts such as nature, civilization, monetary value, etc. and b) in terms of more specific cultural practices and manifestations in relation to questions of gender, sexuality, identity, power, politics and ethics.
