Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

This section concerns the medical students of the English Medical Degree of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, who attend the Ophthalmology course during the 8th and the 9th semesters of their studies. Their training includes both theoritical lectures and practical cliniical sessions (tutorials).

The core curriculum in Ophthalmology is delivered through 18 one-hour lectures. These lectures are conducted by faculty members and other staff of our Clinic in the auditorium of the First Building in the General Hospital of Athens G. Gennimatas.

Practical training is mandatory (no absence perimitted) and consists of 10 tutorials, each lasting 2.5 hours. Two of these take place in the auditorium with the use of video material, while the other eight are held in the Outpatient Clinics and the OR. 

Exam dates are announced via the e-class platform. Registration for the exam is mandatory and must be completed by emailing: aristi.makridou@med.uoa.gr or by calling the Clinic's Office (Ms. A. Makridou: Tel. 210 77 68352). Exam results are posted on the e-class platform.
