The course covers the fundamental aspects of eukaryotic gene transcription, cell signaling in cancer, the targeting of DNA repair mechanisms in cancer, the mechanisms of cell-cycle regulation and apoptosis, the role of hormones in mediating hormonal physiological outputs, the metabolic interrelationships between liver, adipose tissue, brain and skeletal muscles in the integration of metabolism.
