Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

The aim of this module is the development of analytical thinking, critical skills, and fluency in dealing with issues related to the study and research of dance with an emphasis on ethnographic dance research through the presentation of classical and contemporary research and literature. Particular emphasis is placed on the methods of approaching dance per se, as well as on its relationship with society and ethnoregional, national and international identity/-ies. Classical works are presented as examples of individual approaches in the light of different philosophical and methodological perspectives through Greek examples. The revisionist trends and exchanges of individual approaches based on contemporary issues of dance ethnography are also examined, especially in the discipline of dance as well as in the humanities and social sciences.
